Safety is all around you. Thanks to meticulously engineered safety tools, the ION earned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's top rating of five star in front-impact crash test. In addition to it's high-strength steel spaceframe, the ION is designed with dual-stage front air bags which use sensors to instantaneously measure collision conditions and determine how the air bags should be deployed. Also built in is the Passenger Sensing System that turns the front passenger air bags off it detects small or out of position occupants. Finally, included on all new Saturn models is Onstar as part of the safe and sound service plan.
